Boniere Bakery is the oldest continuous operating bakery in California,
A state historical icon and a National Bakery Landmark. Boniere Bakery is located in the historic Park Street district of Alameda, CA. Established in 1876 as a local dry goods store with a bakery, it eventually turned its efforts to becoming a full time, old world European style bakery. Although it has changed owners over the years, they have all continued with the same high level of dedication to exceeding their client's expectations. Many of the original recipes are still being used along with the new to keep up with the trends of today. We are a family that has taken over that tradition with the combined baking experience of over 70 years. The torch has been passed to us and we strive to keep alive the experience of the 'old world bakery of the past.'
